memorandum

memorandum (n.) early 15c., from L. memorandum " (thing) to be remembered," neuter singular of memorandus "worthy of remembrance, noteworthy," gerundive of memorare "to call to mind," from memor "mindful of" (see MEMORY (Cf. memory)).
