fraternal

fraternal (adj.) early 15c., from M.Fr. fraternel and directly from M.L. fraternalis, from L. fraternus “brotherly” (see FRATERNITY (Cf. fraternity)). The noun meaning "fraternal twin" is recorded by 1911.
